HubSpot earned its position. The free CRM is generous, the inbound marketing tooling is still the reference point everyone else copies, and the ecosystem of agencies, courses, and integrations is enormous. Most teams that go looking for a HubSpot alternative aren't leaving because the product is bad. They're leaving because the invoice stopped matching the value: per-seat pricing on the sales side, contact tiers on the marketing side, AI gated behind higher hubs and metered in credits, and a white-label option that doesn't exist at any price.
This guide compares eight alternatives by the kind of team each one suits, including where HubSpot remains the right answer. Transparency first: AutomateNexus CRM is our product. It's on the list because it belongs there for a specific type of team, and we've tried to describe the others the way we'd want them to describe us. Competitor prices below are as published on their pricing pages, checked in September 2026; vendors change plans, so verify before you decide.
Why teams look for a HubSpot alternative
Four reasons come up in almost every conversation.
- The price compounds. HubSpot starts free, then runs from roughly $20 a month to $1,170 and beyond as you add hubs, seats, and contact tiers. Marketing contacts are metered, so a growing list is a growing bill even if nobody new joins the team.
- AI is a tier, not a feature. Breeze, HubSpot's AI layer, is limited by tier and credits, and predictive lead scoring sits on the Enterprise tier. If AI is the reason you're shopping, you'll pay enterprise prices to get it.
- No white-label. Agencies can run client portals and brand reports, but there's no reselling HubSpot as your own product. If that's your business model, HubSpot can't be your platform.
- Telephony is an add-on. Calling from the CRM costs extra, which matters for teams that live on the phone.
None of these are dealbreakers for everyone. If your growth engine is inbound content and you have the budget for Marketing Hub Professional or above, HubSpot's marketing tooling is still the strongest on this list. The alternatives win when your motion is sales-led, agency-led, or AI-led, or when you'd rather pay one flat price.

1. AutomateNexus CRM: best for teams that want AI to do the work
AutomateNexus CRM starts at $49 a month flat with five users on the first plan and unlimited contacts on every plan. The difference from HubSpot isn't a cheaper version of the same thing; it's a different operating model. Karrie and seven specialist agents score leads, draft follow-ups in your tone, book meetings from real calendar availability, and forecast revenue with confidence intervals, with human approval on anything sensitive and an audit trail on everything. That's included on every plan, not gated to a tier.
The rest of the platform covers what HubSpot sells as separate hubs or add-ons: built-in telephony and SMS through Twilio, WhatsApp as a channel, email campaigns with hosted sending on Growth and above, booking, invoicing with Stripe, PayPal, and Square, a client portal, projects, a knowledge workspace, and a site builder. White-label with multi-tenant client workspaces is included, which is why agencies pick it. There's a directory of native integrations, a REST API with signed webhooks on every plan, and a native HubSpot migration for contacts, companies, and deals.
Where it falls short of HubSpot: HubSpot's inbound marketing depth, its content tools, and its marketplace are bigger. Hosted email sending here is quota-based by plan (5,000 emails a month on Growth, 25,000 on Business, 50,000 on Agency, with add-on packs), so a very large marketing list should model its send volume first. And the company is younger, which means fewer third-party consultants who already know it.
See the full side-by-side on the HubSpot comparison page, or the pricing page for the plan matrix.
2. Pipedrive: best for pure pipeline simplicity
Pipedrive is what a sales team draws on a whiteboard, turned into software. Deals move across stages, activities get scheduled, and nothing distracts from the next action. Pricing runs from $14 to $99 per seat per month billed annually, with a 14-day trial.
Why teams choose it over HubSpot: lower entry cost per seat, a faster learning curve, and a focus that HubSpot's ever-expanding suite has lost for pure sales teams.
Where it falls short: AI features arrive on the Professional plan and above, email campaigns and projects are paid add-ons, invoicing comes through marketplace apps, and there's no white-label. Once you need marketing and delivery alongside sales, you're back to assembling tools. Our Pipedrive comparison covers the add-on math.
3. Zoho CRM: best value for feature breadth
Zoho CRM starts from $14 per user per month billed annually and gets you an astonishing amount of configurable surface. Zia, Zoho's AI, offers agents from the Professional edition, with predictions on Enterprise.
Why teams choose it over HubSpot: price, customisation depth, and the wider Zoho suite if you already run Zoho Books or Zoho Mail.
Where it falls short: the breadth is spread across separate apps. Email marketing is Zoho Campaigns, booking is Zoho Bookings, invoicing is Zoho Books or Zoho Invoice, and client portals are an add-on. White-label is available only through the partner program, and setup is admin-heavy. If one login matters, read the Zoho CRM comparison.
4. ActiveCampaign: best when email marketing is the main job
ActiveCampaign is an email marketing and automation platform first, with a CRM attached. Plans start from $15 a month billed annually for one user and rise with your contact count.
Why teams choose it over HubSpot: automation depth for email at a lower entry price than Marketing Hub.
Where it falls short: the sales CRM is an "Enhanced CRM" add-on rather than the core, contacts are priced in bands, AI comes as an "AI Activities" add-on, extra users cost more, and there's no booking, invoicing, client portal, or white-label. It's a great choice for a marketing team and a partial one for a sales team. Details on the ActiveCampaign comparison.
5. Attio: best for data-model-first teams
Attio is the most elegantly built product on this list. Custom objects, flexible records, and a workspace that feels like a modern database make it a favourite of product teams, investors, and founders who think in data. There's a free plan for three seats, then $35 to $79 per user per month billed annually.
Why teams choose it over HubSpot: speed, the data model, and a clean interface with none of the legacy.
Where it falls short: AI is metered in credits per seat and per workspace, with extra packs running $70 to $475 a month, records are capped by plan (50,000 to 1,000,000), and there's no booking, invoicing, client portal, or white-label. If you want agents that act rather than AI you feed credits to, see the Attio comparison.
6. Keap: best for small businesses that want onboarding done with them
Keap (formerly Infusionsoft) bundles CRM, marketing automation, booking, invoicing, and payments for small businesses, and includes implementation and consulting in the price. That price starts from $299 a month billed annually for two users, with extra users at $39 each and contact-based tiers.
Why teams choose it over HubSpot: the done-with-you setup, and a small-business focus HubSpot has grown out of.
Where it falls short: the $299 entry point, per-contact pricing, text messaging as add-on tiers from $24 to $279 a month, and no white-label. If you'd rather self-serve in an afternoon, the Keap comparison lays out the difference.
7. Bitrix24: best all-in-one intranet suite
Bitrix24 is less a CRM than a company operating system: CRM, tasks, chat, video, sites, HR tools, and drive, in one flat-priced suite. It's $49 a month billed annually ($69 monthly) for five users, with unlimited contacts. Storage runs from 24 GB to 1 TB, more than most CRMs offer, including ours.
Why teams choose it over HubSpot: breadth for the price, and flat pricing that doesn't climb with contacts.
Where it falls short: CoPilot AI has limits unless you pay for the Vibe add-on ($10 to $81 a month), custom branding sits on the Enterprise plan, and the sheer breadth means extensive configuration before it feels like your tool. Read the Bitrix24 comparison if you're choosing between an intranet and a revenue system.
8. GoHighLevel: best for agencies selling funnels and white-labeled marketing
GoHighLevel is an agency operating system: funnels, campaigns, reputation, SMS and email, and a white-label SaaS mode that lets agencies resell the platform. Plans run $97 to $497 a month.
Why teams choose it over HubSpot: white-label, which HubSpot doesn't offer at all, plus a campaign stack built for done-for-you marketing.
Where it falls short: AI is limited with extra usage costs, automations are trigger-based rather than agentic, reporting is basic, white-label and SaaS mode sit on higher tiers with add-on pricing per client, and the learning curve is steep. We wrote a longer piece on GoHighLevel vs HubSpot for agencies, and the GoHighLevel comparison covers the modern-AI-native angle.
How to choose
Ignore feature lists for a moment and answer four questions.
- What's your growth engine? Inbound content: HubSpot or ActiveCampaign. Outbound and sales-led: AutomateNexus CRM, Pipedrive, or Attio. Agency reselling: AutomateNexus CRM or GoHighLevel.
- How will the bill move? Per seat (Pipedrive, Zoho, Attio, HubSpot Sales Hub), per contact (HubSpot Marketing Hub, ActiveCampaign, Keap), or flat (AutomateNexus CRM, Bitrix24, GoHighLevel). Model your headcount and list size two years out, not today.
- Is AI included or metered? Read the fine print on credits and tiers. An AI feature you can't afford to switch on is a brochure.
- How many tools does it replace? Count what you'd cancel: scheduler, invoicing, email marketing, portal, project tool. The cheapest CRM is rarely the cheapest stack.
Our CRM migration checklist turns those answers into an evaluation scorecard, and the HubSpot vs Salesforce comparison is useful if your alternative shortlist includes the enterprise end.
How to switch from HubSpot
Every serious alternative imports HubSpot's CSV exports. AutomateNexus CRM has a native HubSpot migration for contacts, companies, and deals with field mapping you control. Whichever you pick, run the migration in this order: export and clean the data first, import contacts and companies, then deals and their stages, then reconnect email and calendar, then rebuild only the automations that earned their keep. Keep HubSpot's free CRM tier alive read-only for a quarter so nobody loses a note.
HubSpot alternatives FAQ
Why do teams leave HubSpot?
The recurring themes are per-seat and per-contact pricing that grows faster than the team, AI features gated to higher tiers and metered in credits, and the lack of white-label for agencies. Teams that stay tend to be inbound-marketing-led with the budget for Marketing Hub Professional or above.
What is the cheapest HubSpot alternative?
On sticker price, Pipedrive at $14 per seat and Zoho CRM at $14 per user, both billed annually, are the lowest entry points. On total cost for a team of five with contacts growing, flat-priced options such as AutomateNexus CRM at $49 a month or Bitrix24 at $49 a month billed annually usually come out lower once you add the tools each replaces.
Is there a HubSpot alternative with AI included?
AutomateNexus CRM includes Karrie and seven specialist agents on every plan, with the option to bring your own model keys. Zoho's Zia agents start on the Professional edition, Pipedrive's AI on Professional, and Attio meters AI in credits. HubSpot's Breeze is limited by tier and credits.
Which HubSpot alternative can be white-labeled?
AutomateNexus CRM includes white-label with multi-tenant client workspaces, GoHighLevel offers it on higher tiers through SaaS mode, Bitrix24 offers custom branding on Enterprise, and Zoho through its partner program. HubSpot, Pipedrive, ActiveCampaign, Attio, and Keap don't offer white-label.
Can I migrate my data out of HubSpot?
Yes. HubSpot exports contacts, companies, deals, and activities as CSV, and most alternatives import them. AutomateNexus CRM adds a native HubSpot migration with field mapping and re-runnable imports.
Who should stay on HubSpot?
Teams whose growth is inbound content, who use Marketing Hub deeply, who need the largest agency and integration ecosystem, and who have the budget for the tiers where the AI lives. If that's you, the switching cost likely outweighs the savings.
