Custom Fields#
Custom fields allow you to capture data specific to your business on any CRM entity. Add custom fields to contacts, deals, customers, and custom objects.
Creating Custom Fields#
Navigate to the entity where you want to add fields and look for the Custom Fields section. You can create fields of the following types:
- Text — Single-line or multi-line text input
- Number — Integer or decimal values
- Date — Date picker
- Dropdown — Single selection from predefined options
- Multi-Select — Multiple selections from predefined options
- Checkbox — Boolean true/false toggle
- URL — Clickable web links
- Email — Email address with validation
- Phone — Phone number
Custom fields automatically render on detail pages, edit forms, and can be used in filters and reports.
Custom Objects#
Custom objects let you create entirely new data entities beyond the built-in contacts, deals, and customers. This is useful for tracking data unique to your business.
Common Use Cases#
- Vendors — Track vendor relationships and contracts
- Partnerships — Manage strategic partner information
- Assets — Track equipment, licenses, or inventory
- Locations — Manage office locations or territories
Creating a Custom Object#
Navigate to Lead & Customer Management > Custom Objects and click New Object:
- Enter the object name (e.g., "Vendor") and plural name (e.g., "Vendors")
- Choose an icon from the available options
- Add an optional description
- Click Create Object
Once created, you can add records to your custom object, each with a name, description, and any custom fields you define. Custom objects support the same dynamic field system as built-in entities.
Managing Records#
Click on any custom object card to view its records. From the record list you can:
- Add new records with the Add button
- Search records by name or content
- View record details and custom field values
- Delete records that are no longer needed
