Dashboard Overview#
The AutomateNexus CRM Dashboard is your central command center providing an at-a-glance view of your business performance, today's schedule, AI-powered insights, and quick access to common actions. When you log in the Dashboard is the first screen you see; it lives under Home → Dashboard at /dashboard. This guide provides a detailed breakdown of every card on the Dashboard, explains how to customize your view, and covers advanced dashboard capabilities.
Dashboard Layout#
The Dashboard is a single page of stacked sections. At the top sit the header band and any announcements, followed by the KPI cards and Karrie's brief across the full width. Below them, desktop screens show a two-column block: the left column, spanning two-thirds of the width, holds the Deal Activity chart and the Pipeline card; the right column, one-third wide, holds the Today card and the Ask Karrie box. The page continues with your Financials, the Insights & activity row (AI Suggestions, Recent Activity, Agent Activity) and the Recent records list. On tablet and mobile devices the layout collapses to a single column with the cards stacked vertically.
Card-by-Card Breakdown#
Header#
The header shows today's date with a live clock, a greeting with your first name, and one plain-language line on what needs you next: your next meeting (with who it is with, when it starts and a Join button when it has a video link), overdue tasks, deals closing this week, and revenue items such as quotes expiring, renewals to send or retainer invoices unpaid. When nothing is pending it lists what you have done today (tasks, calls, emails, meetings) or says that nothing needs your attention. On the right you see the local weather and the + New menu (see Quick Actions).
System Announcements#
Below the header, the System Announcements banner displays any active announcements published to your organization or to all users, such as scheduled maintenance notices or new feature releases. Announcements can be dismissed individually and will not reappear once dismissed, unless an announcement was marked as not dismissible.
Set Up Your Workspace#
New workspaces, and workspaces still holding sample data, show a Set up your workspace checklist. Every item is derived from your real records (first contact, pipeline review, first deal, services, online payments, first invoice, first project, booking page, email connection, team invitations, company profile), so it stays accurate without anyone ticking boxes. Open the next step from the card, clear the sample data when you are done with it, or mark setup complete to hide the checklist.
Stats Cards (Key Performance Indicators)#
The KPI row displays four critical metrics in a horizontal card layout. Each card shows the metric name, the current value, and a trend line. Clicking on any stat card navigates you directly to the relevant page.
| Metric | Description | Formula | Links To |
|---|---|---|---|
| Total Customers | The total number of customer records in your current workspace | Count of all customer records. Change = new customers this week / total x 100 | CRM → People |
| Active Deals | The number of deals currently in your pipeline not yet closed | Count of open deals. Change = new deals this week / active deals x 100 | CRM → Deals |
| Pipeline Value | Total monetary value of all active deals displayed in thousands | Sum of deal values for open deals, displayed as value/1000 with a k suffix. Change = value of open deals created in the last 7 days / pipeline value x 100 | CRM → Deals |
| Win Rate | Percentage of deals closed as won versus total closed deals | Won deals / total closed deals x 100, rounded to the nearest integer. Change = win rate over the last 30 days minus the 30 days before, in points | CRM → Deals |
A green upward arrow marks a positive trend and a red downward arrow a negative one (only Win Rate can trend down). When nothing changed, the card shows a neutral note instead, such as No new deals this week or No deals closed in 30 days.
Karrie's Brief#
Karrie, the AI assistant built into AutomateNexus CRM, opens the day with a collapsible brief: a one-line headline and the day's priorities ranked by deal impact, each linking to the record it concerns. The summary line counts stalled deals and hot leads waiting. Use Refresh brief to rebuild it from the pipeline as it is now. When follow-ups are ready, Start the follow-ups has Karrie draft them; the drafts wait for your sign-off under AI → Agent Approvals, which Review the follow-ups opens. Nothing is sent without an approval.
Deal Activity Chart#
The Deal Activity chart provides a visual time-series representation of your key metrics over a configurable date range. It combines data from deals, activities, meetings and booking confirmations to show trends over time.
- Hover tooltips - Hover over any point to see the exact value and date.
- Series selection - Switch the chart between Deals, Revenue, Activities and Meetings.
- Period selection - View the last 3 months, the last 30 days, the last 7 days, or a custom range picked with the date picker.
- Responsive sizing - The chart automatically resizes to fill available width.
Pipeline#
Beneath the chart, the Pipeline card summarizes your open pipeline: Total Value, Close Rate, Velocity, Forecast, the Top Bottleneck stage and your Conversion Rates from lead to close. View Details opens the Deals page and Export downloads the figures.
Today#
The Today card at the top of the right column pulls your day together:
- Schedule - Today's meetings and bookings, or a note that your calendar is clear. A link opens the Calendar.
- Progress - Tasks done, calls made, emails sent and meetings attended against today's totals.
- Revenue - Quotes expiring, renewals to send and quotes not opened yet, each opening the quote.
- Insights - Unread AI insights with a dismiss button; the section only appears when there are some.
Use Email me this brief to send yourself the card by email, and the delivery settings to choose the time it is ready each day and whether it arrives in-app, by email or as a push notification.
Ask Karrie#
The Ask Karrie card is the dashboard's way into the assistant: one question box (Ask about your leads, pipeline or activities…) and a few starters such as Plan my day, Today's meetings, Pipeline status and My tasks. Your question opens the assistant in the side dock on the right edge of the screen, where the conversation continues while you work.
Financials#
The Financials row shows four cards drawn from your invoices: Outstanding Balance (sent and overdue invoices, with the number overdue), Overdue Invoices, Revenue This Month (invoices paid this month, with the number sent) and Recurring Revenue (monthly recurring revenue from retainers and accepted quotes with recurring lines, with the change against a month ago). The Invoices link opens Finance → Invoices.
AI Suggestions#
The AI Suggestions card lists proactive suggestions generated from your data, with a count badge. You can refresh the list, collapse it, mark a suggestion as acted on, or dismiss it. The card is hidden when there are no suggestions.
Recent Activity#
The Recent Activity card provides a chronological feed of recent actions taken within your workspace. Each entry shows an icon for the type of activity, its subject and how long ago it happened; clicking an entry opens Activities, and the All activity link opens CRM → Activities for the full log.
Agent Activity#
The Agent Activity card displays actions taken by AI agents within your workspace, each with the agent's name, when it happened and its status. Use the refresh button to fetch the latest entries.
Recent Records#
The Recent records card at the bottom shows your five newest records with two tabs: Deals (Deal, Stage, Value, Close date) and Customers (Customer, Email, Status, Added). Each row opens the full record, and View all opens the Deals or Customers page. When a list is empty the card offers New deal or New customer.
Dashboard Quick Actions#
The + New menu in the Dashboard header starts common tasks without hunting through the sidebar. Each entry opens the matching page ready for a new record:
- Person - Opens People to add a contact.
- Deal - Opens Deals to add a deal to your pipeline.
- Task - Opens Tasks.
- Meeting - Opens the Calendar.
- Email - Opens Email to compose a message.
- Social post - Opens the Social Scheduler.
Dashboard Customization#
Date Range#
The Deal Activity chart has its own period selector with Last 3 months, Last 30 days, Last 7 days and Custom, which reveals a date range picker. The KPI cards always compare against the current week (Win Rate against the previous 30 days), and the Financials cards always show the current month.
Workspace Filtering#
The Dashboard automatically filters all data based on your currently selected workspace. Switching workspaces from the switcher in the header refreshes all cards to display data relevant to the new workspace ensuring metrics are always scoped to your current working context.
Theme and Display Preferences#
The Dashboard respects the display preferences configured under Settings → Appearance: the colour theme and the display mode (light, dark or system). The theme toggle in the header switches the mode without leaving the page.
Advanced Dashboards#
Beyond the default Dashboard, AutomateNexus CRM provides Advanced Dashboards under Insights → Advanced Dashboards (/analytics/dashboards). Advanced Dashboards offer:
- Templates - Start from an executive, sales, financial or marketing template, or configure a blank dashboard.
- Multiple dashboards - Create separate dashboards with a name and a type (Executive, Sales, Analytics, Financial, Marketing or Operations); the list shows how many widgets each one holds.
- Layout - Choose 2, 3 or 4 columns and compact, regular or relaxed spacing.
- Widgets over your CRM data - Each dashboard is built from widgets over sources such as deals, customers, revenue and campaigns; open a dashboard and choose Edit to change them, or refresh the widget data on demand.
- Sharing - Tick Anyone with the link can view when creating a dashboard and use Share to copy its link.
Understanding Your KPIs#
Customer Acquisition Rate#
Tracks how quickly you are adding new customers. The change percentage on the Total Customers stat card represents the ratio of new customers this week to total. Consistent positive percentages indicate steady growth.
Pipeline Velocity#
Measures how quickly deals move through your pipeline. Formula: Pipeline Velocity = (Number of Deals x Average Deal Value x Win Rate) / Average Sales Cycle in Days. The Pipeline card shows your current Velocity; monitor Pipeline Value alongside Win Rate to assess it.
Win Rate Interpretation#
Represents sales effectiveness. Calculated as Won Deals / Total Closed Deals x 100. A rate above 30 percent is generally healthy for B2B. If declining investigate which stages have the highest drop-off using the Pipeline card's Top Bottleneck and the deal pipeline view.
Revenue Metrics#
Pipeline Value represents potential revenue from active deals. The Financials row shows what has actually been invoiced and paid this month. For detailed revenue tracking navigate to Finance → Revenue.
Refreshing Dashboard Data#
Dashboard data is loaded on page render and kept fresh in the background. Data refreshes on:
- Page load - All cards fetch fresh data when navigating to the Dashboard.
- Window focus - Data is automatically refetched when switching back to the browser tab.
- Workspace change - Switching workspaces triggers a complete data refresh.
- Manual refresh - Karrie's brief, AI Suggestions and Agent Activity have their own refresh buttons; use the browser refresh for a complete page reload.
Error handling includes inline fallback components. If a network error occurs loading a card an error message displays within that card while the rest remains functional.

Mobile Dashboard Experience#
On mobile devices or narrow browser windows the Dashboard adapts responsively:
- Single-column layout - All cards stack vertically with the header and KPI cards first.
- Touch-friendly elements - Buttons cards and interactive elements sized for touch with adequate tap targets.
- Collapsible sidebar - The sidebar tucks away and opens from the menu button in the header, freeing screen space.
- Simplified charts - Charts adapt to narrower widths with adjusted labels and reduced data density.
The mobile experience covers all core functionality though configuration work is best on desktop.
