Overview#
The Quotes and CPQ module lets you create professional quotes directly from deals, add product line items, apply discounts, and convert accepted quotes into invoices — all within AutomateNexus CRM.
Creating a Quote#
Navigate to Deals & Pipeline > Quotes & CPQ and click Create Quote:
- A unique quote number is auto-generated
- Select the customer and optionally link to an existing deal
- Add line items with product name, quantity, and unit price
- Apply discounts (percentage or fixed amount)
- Set the tax rate
- Add terms and notes
- Save as draft or send immediately
Line Items & Pricing#
Each quote supports unlimited line items. The quote builder calculates totals in real-time:
- Subtotal — Sum of all line items (quantity x unit price)
- Discount — Applied as a percentage or fixed amount off the subtotal
- Tax — Calculated on the discounted subtotal
- Total — Final amount due
Quote Lifecycle#
Quotes move through the following statuses:
- Draft — Being prepared, not yet sent
- Sent — Delivered to the customer
- Viewed — Customer has opened the quote
- Accepted — Customer has accepted the terms
- Rejected — Customer has declined
- Expired — Quote has passed its expiration date
Converting to Invoice#
Once a quote is accepted, click Convert to Invoice to automatically generate an invoice with all the line items, pricing, and customer details pre-filled. This eliminates manual data entry and ensures accuracy.
Quote Preview#
Use the preview feature to see exactly what your customer will see, including your company branding, line items, totals, and terms.
