Claude Connector

Overview#

The AutomateNexus CRM connector lets Claude work in your CRM: find and read your contacts, customers, deals, tasks, projects and conversations, create and update them for you, and send an email from your mailbox or a text from your Twilio number to one person at a time. You connect it with your CRM sign-in, so there is no key to copy. It runs on the same tools as the MCP server; see MCP Integration Guide for the full list and for connecting with a key instead.

Who Can Connect#

An owner or admin of an organization on a paid plan, with the MCP server switched on under Settings → Integrations → Developer. When you sign in to connect, the page lists your organizations and says why one can't be chosen. This is checked again on every call, so a connection stops working if you stop being an owner or admin, the plan ends, or the MCP server is switched off.

Connecting Claude#

  1. In AutomateNexus CRM, open Settings → Integrations → Developer. The Claude card shows the Connector address, https://app.automatenexuscrm.com/mcp, with a Copy button.
  2. In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors, and choose Add custom connector.
  3. Name it AutomateNexus CRM and paste the connector address.
  4. Choose Connect. An AutomateNexus CRM page opens: sign in with your CRM account, pick the organization to connect, and choose Allow. Deny connects nothing.

Only Claude (claude.ai and claude.com) and programs on your own computer, such as Claude Code, can be connected this way. Any other app is shown This app can't be connected, with only Decline. When the sign-in would return to a program on your computer, the page warns you to allow it only if you started the connection yourself.

What Claude Can Do#

The connection acts as you, with every tool the MCP server offers, including sending email and text messages. Each connection can send at most 100 emails and 50 text messages in 24 hours. The permission switches on the MCP server card apply to an MCP key, not to a Claude connection.

Managing Connections#

Under Connected to this organization, the Claude card lists each connected app with the teammate who connected it, when it was connected and when it was last used. Disconnect cuts it off at once; to use it again, connect from Claude again.

Troubleshooting#

  • An organization can't be chosen. The sign-in page and the Claude card say why: you are not an owner or admin, the organization has no paid plan, or the MCP server is switched off.
  • "This app can't be connected." Only Claude can be connected with a CRM sign-in. For other apps, use an MCP key; see MCP Integration Guide.
  • A connection that worked stopped working. Check that you are still an owner or admin, the plan is active and the MCP server is on, and that the connection is still listed on the Claude card. If it was disconnected, connect from Claude again.
  • "Your session ended. Sign in again." Sign in to AutomateNexus CRM and start the connection again from Claude.
